enyata [817]
If hes just being rude, honestly just stay in your room or something until he leaves, or maybe even tell your brother about it so maybe he'll say something to the friend. if he keeps bothering you even after all that, just tell him to leave you the FU€K alone. best of luck!!

We went to santa fe , which is the second oldest city in the united states which is the linking verb
AfilCa [17]
<span>There are only two verbs in the sentence 'went' and 'is' so it must be 'is'. However the word 'which' acts as a conjunction which thus links the two things together. Without the 'We went' bit it would be 'Santa Fe is the second oldest city in the US.'</span>

What creates a sense of flow and rhythm in the poem?
saul85 [17]

Answer:

The sense of flow comes from her word choice by using a complex chemical break down relating to cleaning, the old fashion style of drying clothes, the house/residency was near or by surrounding fields, this allows me to picture and visualizes how her living is with the pass along and seemingly strong tradition.

I visualize the author is describing her childhood in the location of dutch fields. Watching maybe a parent doing cleaning or up keeping due to the mention of cleaning products and old style of drying clothes possibly from the clothespins. The family passes many traditions down and only does it their way, showing a possibility of a strong family culture or lifestyle with hints of religous manners with the phrase of  "10 verses that I can say myself" connecting it to knowledge of Christianity/Catholicism.

I'm sorry if this isn't the best answer but here's at least a baseline you could go off of. I hope this helps in one way or another!

Which gesture would best reinforce the following words as a speaker says them: "At
liq [111]

Answer:

A hand held up at chest height, then slowly lowered to waist height

Explanation:

For answering this question, it is best to try to do the described gestures by yourself in order to visualize them and compare with the given situation. The situation is that choir and orchestra are finishing the song and the volume is decreasing (going down) to the lowest tones. So when we compare all the given gestures with this, we notice that only the third one includes lowering of the hand which represents the lowering of the volume. Gestures often follow the very essence of the action. Some of them are a product of social agreements like clapping at the end of the performance ( Two hands brought together with a clap in front of the chest).

UkoKoshka [18]

Simon wheeler from ‘The Notorious Jumping Frog’ is described as a man who is lazy and bald though sometimes he is clever and usually aggressive. Based on the story, the appropriate choice that would describe Simon is that ‘He likes to tell stories’, it is because when you read the story, you can see that Simon likes telling long stories.
