The answer for x is x=2y+3 because this is a linear equation in which you can not solve so it is the original problem it self for x.

skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

x = 3

x)=x^3-3x^2-4x+12  \\ 0 = 3x ^2 - 3x ^2 + 4x - 12 \\ 0 = 4x - 12 \\  - 4x =  - 12 \\  - x =  - 12 \div 4 \\ x = 3

One satellite is scheduled to be launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida, and another launching is scheduled for Vandenberg Air
NeTakaya

Answer:P\left ( A\right )=0.45

P\left ( B\right )=0.32

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

P\left ( A\cup B\right )=0.626

P\left ( A\cap B\right )=0.144

and we know

P\left ( A\cup B\right )=P\left ( A\right )+P\left ( B\right )-P\left ( A\cap B\right )

0.626=P\left ( A\right )+P\left ( B\right )-0.144

0.77=P\left ( A\right )+P\left ( B\right )-------1

as it is given

A and B are independent therefore

P\left ( A\cap B\right )=P\left ( A\right )\cdot P\left ( B\right )

0.144=P\left ( A\right )\cdot P\left ( B\right )

Substitute value of P\left ( B\right ) in 1

0.77=P\left ( A\right )+\frac{0.144}{P\left ( A\right )}

on solving P\left ( A\right )=0.45

P\left ( B\right )=0.32

Write an equation of the translation of y=x^3 that has been moved 2 units up, 3 units to the right, and stretched by a factor of
Yuki888 [10]
Y=(4x-3)³+2

To shift the graph to the right 3 units, we subtract 3 before the exponent.  To shift it up 2 units, we add 2 to the end.  To stretch it by 4, we multiply x by 4 before the exponent.

write the slope intercept equation. the graph of f passes through (-6,4) and is perpendicular to the line that has an x-intercep
Nimfa-mama [501]

Answer:

y = -\frac{1}{3} x + 2

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of the line that has an x intercept of (2,0) and y-intercept of (0,-6) is:

Slope(s) = Change in y ÷ change in x

s = \frac{0 - -6}{2 - 0} = 3

The slope of the perpendicular line to this line with slope of 3 has to have a slope of -1 ÷ 3 = -\frac{1}{3}

Reason: The product of slopes of lines perpendicular to each other have to be -1

So the slope of the perpendicular line that passes through (-6,4) is -\frac{1}{3}

As mentioned earlier, we derive a slope of a line by dividing the change in y by the change in x

Taking another point (x,y) on the line,

-\frac{1}{3} = \frac{y - 4}{x - -6}

-\frac{1}{3} = \frac{y - 4}{x + 6}

y - 4 = -\frac{1}{3}x - 2

y = -\frac{1}{3}x + 2
