Why do you think Battuta recorded this description of Mogadishu in his travels?

In Ibn e Batuta's time, Mogadishu was extremely prosperous.

Explanation:

Ibn e Batuta described Mogadishu as a large prosperous city and then went on to describe in great detail its governance and administration. I<u>t was a rather new development in Mogadishu which he failed to record as he found himself less in higher up circles than he would have wished.</u>

Still Batuta saw Mogadishu at its very prosperous under the peaceful rule of their Sheikh in the 14th century.
