Even though in a Federation the States have certain liberty and power given by the US Constitution, the States have a government structure that resembles the Federal government.
The States have three branches as the Federal government does. Most of the states have a unicameral legislature, except for Nebraska that as the Federal government, has a bicameral legislature.
