The distance formula is:
 d = root ((x2-x1) ^ 2 + (y2-y1) ^ 2)
 We use the formula to find the perimeter of the triangle:
 (9, 0) and (-5, 0):
 d1 = root ((- 5-9) ^ 2 + (0-0) ^ 2)
 d1 = 14
 (9, 0) and (-10, 6):
 d2 = root ((- 10-9) ^ 2 + (6-0) ^ 2)
 d2 = 19.92485885
 (-5, 0) and (-10, 6):
 d3 = root ((- 10 - (- 5)) ^ 2 + (6-0) ^ 2)
 d3 = 7.810249676
 The perimeter is:
 P = d1 + d2 + d3
 P = 14 + 19.92485885 + 7.810249676
 P = 41.73510853
 Rounding:
 P = 41.7 units
 Answer:

C) 41.7 units

Parallel to y=2x-4 through (8,8)
yanalaym [24]

Answer:

y = 2x - 8

Step-by-step explanation:

Parallel lines have SIMILAR <em>RATE OF</em><em> </em><em>CHANGES</em><em> </em>[<em>SLOPES</em>], so 2 remains the same:

8 = 2[8] + b

↑

16

-8 = b

y = 2x - 8 >> Parallel Equation

Russell runs 9/10 mile in 5 minutes. At this rate, how many miles can he run in one minute?
miss Akunina [59]
9/50 is the answer I think!

I converted 9/10 to decimal to make it easier for me to solve and got 0.9

I divided 0.9 by 5 and got 0.18

I converted 0.18 to fraction and got 9/50

The question is somewhat confusing but assuming you mean where the submarine is after moving up 7 meters then down 38 meters the submarine would now be located 56 meters below sea level

Find (if possible) the complement and the supplement of each angle. (if not possible, enter impossible.) (a) π 10 complement rad
blagie [28]

In this question, we have to find the complement and supplement of the given angles .

Complementary angles are those angles whose sum is 90 degree and supplementary angles are those angles whose sum is 180 degree.

So to find the complement and supplement angles, we need to subtract the given angles from pi/2 and pi respectively .

a.

\frac{ \pi}{10}&#10;\\&#10;complement  \ angle = \frac{ \pi}{2} - \frac{ \pi}{10}     \\                             = \frac{4 \pi}{10} = \frac{ 2 \pi}{5}&#10;\\&#10;Supplement  \ angle = \pi - \frac{ \pi}{10} = \frac{9 \pi}{10}

b.

\frac{9 \pi}{10}&#10;\\&#10;Complement \ angle = \frac{ \pi}{2} - \frac{9 \pi}{10} = \frac{-4 \pi}{10} = -\frac{2 \pi}{5}&#10;\\&#10;Supplement \ angle = \pi - \frac{9 \pi}{10} = \frac{ \pi}{10}
