3x - 9 + 7x - 10 = 9x - 5x + 5

Start off by combining like terms.

Let's do the left side first:  3x + 7x = 10x  and -9 - 10 = -19
Now do the right side: 9x - 5x - 4x  and 5 is left over.

Your equation now should look like this: 10x - 19 = 4x + 5

Next step: subtract 4x from both sides
10x - 19 = 4x + 5
-4x            -4x

6x - 19 = 5

Now add 19 to both sides.

6x - 19 = 5
     +19   +19

6x = 24

divide 6x and 24 by 6

6x/6 = 24/6

x = 4

Let logb A= 3; logb C = 2; logb D=5<br> What is the value of logb D^2/C^3A
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

The value of given log function is 1 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

Logb A = 3

Logb C = 2

Logb D = 5

<u>Now from log property </u>

if , Logb x = c    , then  x = b^{c}

So,

Logb A = 3 , then A =  b^{3}

Logb C = 2 , then C =  b^{2}

Logb D = 5 , then D =  b^{5}

Now, According to question

Logb\frac{D^{2}}{C^{3}A}

So, Logb\frac{(b^{5})^{2}}{(b^{2})^{3}\times b^{3}}

Or, Logb\frac{b^{10}}{b^{6}\times b^{3}}

or, Logb\frac{b^{10}}{b^{9}}

Now, since base same So,

log_{b}b^{10-9}

∴ log_{b}b^{1}

<u>Now log property </u>

log_{b}b = 1

Hence The value of given log function is 1 . answer

What is the sum of the first 30 terms of this arithmetic sequence? 6,13,20,27,34
Galina-37 [17]

Answer:

3135

Step-by-step explanation:

Givens

a1 = 6

Use t4 - t3 to get d

t4 = 27

t3 = 20

Step One

Find a1 and d

a1 = 6

d = t4 - t3

d = 27 - 20

d = 7

Step Two

Find the 30th Term

tn= a1 + (n -1 )*d

t30 = 6 + (30 - 1) * 7

t30 = 6 + 29*7

t30 = 6 + 203

t30 = 209

Step Three

Find the sum using Sum = (a + t30)*n/2

n = 30              given

a1 = 6               given

t30 = 209         calculated from step 2

Sum = (a1 + t30)*n/2        Substitute

Sum = (6+ 209)*30/2       Combine like terms and divide by 2

sum = 215 * 15                  Multiply

Sum = 3135                      Answer
