Another name for theme is message. Theme is the author's main idea or his message. The theme can be summed in one word, as death or love. For example the message of “Romeo and Juliet” is that love's stronger then <span>family selfishness. There can be several messages. Characters say and do everything according to the theme. First the authors think about the theme, then create the settings and characters. The theme or message controls all events in the story. </span>
