A lymphocyte is a type of white blood cell that is part of the immune system. There are two main types of lymphocytes: B cells andT cells. The B cells produce antibodies that are usedto attack invading bacteria, viruses, and toxins. The T cells destroy the body's own cells that have themselve been taken over by viruses or become cancerous.
Monocytes: A type of immune cell that is made in thebone marrow and travels through the bloodto tissues in the body where it becomes amacrophage. Macrophages surround and killmicroorganisms, ingest foreign material, remove dead cells, and boost immune responses. A monocyte is a type of white blood cell and a type of phagocyte.

Why does water move along its concentration gradients?
Artemon [7]
There is an electrical gradient and there is a concentration gradient.

1.) Chemical gradient better known as concentration gradient is much more powerful and compelling than the electrical gradient.

2.) Water is a polar molecule, meaning one side it positively charged while the other is negatively charged. This polar charged molecule causes water to have a weaker electrical gradient, thus the water has to move on its concentration gradient.

Use the graph below to answer the following question: What is happening to the object's velocity?
trasher [3.6K]

Answer:

The object's velocity is increasing

Explanation:

From the graph above, we can deduce that the velocity is increasing. From the first stage, v=m/s=0.

At the third stage, v=20/2= 10m/s.

At the 5th stage, v=80/4=20m/s.

This shows velocity is increasing.

The characteristics of the active site microenvironment of an enzyme can be largely independent of individual catalytic mechanis
Valentin [98]

Answer: (1) Providing an optimized orientation of the substrate.

(2) Decreasing the ∆G in reaction.

(3) Excluding excess water.

Explanation: The active sites of enzymes increase the rate of reaction because they decrease the activation energy of the reaction, and the physical microenvironment provides an optimal orientation of the substrate relative to reactive functional groups while excluding excess solvent, such as water.

Although some active sites may have amino acids that form salt bridges with the amino acids from a substrate, not all do, so this is not a generic strategy of active site microenvironments
