Considering the excerpt, Carlos is mostly in conflict with others (C) as the narrator mentions Carlos's wife and daughter. The narrator claims that he is angry. He seems to be outraged with his wife and his daughter because his daughter is confronting him. Moreover, Carlos's wife and daughter will be independent and that angers him. That is why he gets out of bed and tears a speech into pieces.
