∠BDC=30, so ∠CBD + ∠BCD=180-30=150
ΔDBC is isosceles, so ∠CBD=∠BCD=half of 150=75
∠ABC=∠ABD-∠CBD=155-75=80
ΔABC is isosceles, so ∠ABC=∠ACB=80
∠BAC=180-80-80=20

The time it takes you to get to campus varies inversely as your driving rate. averaging 20 miles per hour in terrible traffic,
Korvikt [17]
Given that the time taken to get to campus is inversely proportional to driving rate, let the time be t and rate be r, thus the function will be written as:'
t=k/r
where
k is the constant of proportionality given by:
k=tr
when r=20 mph, t=1.25 hrs
thus
k=20×1.25
k=25 miles
thus the formula is:
t=25/r
when r=55 mph, the value of t will be:
t=25/55
t=5/11 hours

9 burgers and 1 doughnut cost $31.30. 3 doughnuts and 6 burgers cost $26.70. Find the cost of 2 burgers.
masya89 [10]

Answer:

$6.40

Step-by-step explanation:

let d be the cost of 1 doughnut and b the cost of 1 burger.

set up 2 equations and solve for b

9b + d = 31.3 → (1)

6b + 3d = 26.7 → (2)

multiplying (1) by - 3 and adding to (2) will eliminate d

- 27b - 3d = - 93.9 → (3)

add (2) and (3) term by term to eliminate d

- 21b + 0 = - 67.2

- 21b = - 67.2 ( divide both sides by - 21 )

b = 3.2

then

cost of 2 burgers = 2 × $3.20 = $6.40
