The Soothsayer is an archetype in The Tragedy of Julius Caesar because there are so many similar characters to him in other works of art.

Since an archetype is an example of something or somebody, in The Tragedy of Julio Caesar, the soothsayer is the archetype of somebody who warns the protagonist about something really bad that will to happen to them in the future. Usually, the protagonist doesn't believe the prediction by the future teller.
