Dear Senator,

I believe it is in everyone's best interest that you do not support the prohibition of selling alcohol. It will not reduce the consumption of alcohol, it will instead only reduce the amount of people buying legally. The want for alcohol will not change even if it is prohibited, making the sale of it illegal will only make people to do more dangerous and illegal things to get alcohol.

A concerned citizen,

(Your name)

Hope this helps, have a BLESSED and wonderful day! As well as as a safe one! :-)

Esteemed Senator,
Do not support the prohibition of the sale of alcohol. I do not believe it will be an effective measure to limit people's consumption. Considering the demand for alcohol will be the same whether it is prohibited or not, making the sale of it illegal will lead people to do more dangerous things to obtain it.

Congress can ________ a Presidential veto with a 2/3 majority vote. override reject veto table
USPshnik [31]

The correct answer is override a presidential veto.

In the US government, Congress is responsible for making national laws. After the bill has passed both houses of Congress (aka the House of Representatives and the Senate), the bill is then sent to the president to sign. However, the president can stop this bill from becoming law. This is known as a veto. If a president vetoes a law, it can still be passed without their signature. This requires a 2/3rd majority vote in both parts of Congress. If this happens, the bill becomes law.

tino4ka555 [31]

The correct answer is B) It has uniquely American themes.

American literature of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries was different from the literature written in Britain during the same period in that it has uniquely American themes.

American literature in the 1800s is known as the Romantic Period. Writers and poets during this time wrote about specific situations that American people lived and faced during those years. They focused on topics that interested in American society and did not write about England or Europe. Among the famous authors of the time, we have Edgar Allan Poe, Herman Melville, Walt Whitman, and Nathaniel Hawthorne.
