I also struggled with this question and I'm not 100% sure about my answer, but it's better than no answer. I used the little scale thing on the bottom right corner of the map. And I found out that by sea it was around 700 miles. And by land, I got around 350, but I rounded up to 400. Hopefully I was able to help... this stuff can be hard.
