Preventing medication errors has been the goal of medication administration so in order to prevent this, certain tips and administration procedures have been listed as guide for healthcare professionals. This include following the right dosage, checking the right patient, following the indicated route of administration according to the manufacturer, and correct documentation. One that should not be done is deciding on your own of which route that you think is more convenient for you. Sure there are lots of routes, but each medication is assigned with a specific route for its effectivity.
