b) How might observing the emotions of others under abnormal circumstances affect a person’s own emotional state?
Ad libitum [116K]
Not all of our emotions come from the old parts of our brain; we also interpret our experiences to create a more complex array of emotional experiences. For instance, the amygdala may sense fear when it senses that the body is falling, but that fear may be interpreted completely differently (perhaps even as excitement) when we are falling on a roller-coaster ride than when we are falling from the sky in an airplane that has lost power.

The negative is that studied research suggests that being around someone who's stressed/depressed/ill can increase your own stress levels. Negative contagious emotions, like sadness, fear, anger or stress can be damaging to your own overall health/mental state.

Hi I’m Rose.
Personally, I grew up having to hear a LOT of arguing between my parents… I honestly believe that it influenced the amount of stress I had back then.. that I wouldn’t have had normally :/

What are 5 types of health?
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

There are five main aspects of personal health: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual. In order to be considered "well," it is imperative for none of these areas to be neglected. The Health and Wellness Educators (HAWES) want to inform you, the student, of ways to maximize your personal wellness.

Physical

Exercise! Even walking 30 minutes a day three times a week will greatly improve your health.

Eat Healthy. Avoid fried foods, soft drinks, processed meats, and sweets. Try to include 5 servings of fruits and vegetables in your diet everyday.

Don't skip meals. Especially breakfast, it slows down your metabolic rate and can cause weight gain.

Avoid heavy episodic drinking and drug use. No more than five drinks in one sitting for men and four for women. Don't play drinking games and space drinks over time alternating with a glass of water.

Get at least 6-8 hours of sleep every night.
