So, who ever actually sleeps for an entire decade? Well, practically no one! This means that this is an <em>exageration. 

</em>It's pushing something to an extreme level which would never even happen. Specifically, this is known as a hyperbole. A hyperbole is a purposeful overstatement of such, often for comedic effect.
