At one point in American history equality was strongly lacking. There were people in favor of segregation of all races and some whom were determined to restore civil rights back into an equal fashion. It was easy to be separated in times like these and protesting to end such separation. To this day many of elderly people are still prejudice but hopefully in the future we can all live in equal harmony
