The triangles KLH and FLH are congruent by the hypotenuse leg theorem (HL theorem for short) because KL = LF is one pair of congruent legs and LM = LM is the pair of congruent hypotenuses. This theorem only works for right triangles.

By CPCTC (corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent), this means we can say that the bottom two angles KHL and FHL are congruent

So,

angle KHL = angle FHL

6y = 4y+18 ... substitution

6y-4y = 4y+18-4y .... subtract 4y from both sides

2y = 18

2y/2 = 18/2 ... divide both sides by 2

y = 9

Answer: 9

Suppose a normal distribution has a mean of 12 and a standard deviation of 4
Sedaia [141]

Answer:

The correct answer is C. 1.5

Step-by-step explanation:

To find this, first find the difference from the value to the mean.

18 - 12 = 6

Now that we have this, divide it by the size of a standard deviation to find how many it is away.

6/4 = 1.5

Suppose that prior to conducting a coin-flipping experiment, we suspect that the coin is fair. How many times would we have to f
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:  b) 84

Step-by-step explanation:

Let p be the prior estimate of the required proportion.

As per given , we have

p =0.5   (The probability of getting heads on a fair coin is 0.5)

Significance level : \alpha: 1-0.90=0.10\\

Critical z-value (using z-value table ) : z_{\alpha/2}=1.645

Confidence interval width : w= 0.18

Thus , the margin of error : E=\dfrac{w}{2}=0.09

Formula to find the sample size ( if prior estimate of proportion is known.):-

n=p(1-p)(\dfrac{z_{\alpha/2}}{E})^2

Substitute the values , we get

n=0.5(1-0.5)(\dfrac{1.645}{0.09})^2

Simplify ,

n=83.5192901235\approx84  [Round of to the next whole number.]

Hence, the number of times we would have to flip the coin =<u>84</u>

hence, the correct answer is b) 84

Rewrite the square-root expression as an imaginary number: sqrt of -64<br><br> is it 8i?
IceJOKER [234]
The answer is 8i.

i = √(-1)

√(-64) = √((-1) * 64)
           = √(-1) * √64
           = i * √8²
           = i * 8
           = 8i
