The Civil Rights Act of 1968 passed so soon after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 because B) the previous legislation did not address housing discrimination. The Civil Rights Act of 1968 provides equal housing opportunities regardless of race, creed or national origin and made it a national crime to force, threaten to force, injure, intimidate or interfere with anybody by reason of their race, color, religion or national origin.
