1)Both purple aerobic bacteria and mitichondria synthesize ATP using oxygen via kreb cycle and oxidative phosphorylation. Moreover, Chloroplasts and photosynthetic bacteria have similar chlorophyll that uses light energy and convert it into chemical energy.

2)Mitochondria have their own circular DNA which is similar to bacterial DNA
