Which statement about Jim's character throughout The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is accurate?

English
2 answers:
weqwewe [10]3 years ago

Answer:

a) As time went on, Jim was shown as a fuller character.

Explanation:

Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a novel by American writer Mark Twain, published in 1884. In it, the protagonist, friend of Tom Sawyer, lives numerous adventures by the Mississippi River on a raft.

Although Jim is many times used as a stereotypical character that seems to serve as comic relief, later on things start changing. Jim is constantly shown as a parameter to show how black salves were badly treated since he and Huck find themselves in the same situation but the consequences are noticeably worse for Jim. Even though, the more you read, the more you see Jim as a deep and caring human being.

1. Why did China have a favorable balance of trade with Great Britain until the Second Opium War?
Lena [83]
The increasing flood of opium into China was causing all manner of social problems (including corruption with colluding local officials). Attempts by China's rulers to curtail this flood -- while still refusing other forms of trade -- irritated the British. So too did the official Qing position that the British and all other foreigners were vassals and barbarians. As China attempted to shut off the flow of opium, Britain and other trading countries resisted every measure. Conflict became inevitable.
