Hey there, Lunablum!
I apologize I'm late.

One scenario could be the amount you exercise.
Lunablum burns y calories if she exercise x hours.
The number of calories you burn depends on the number of hours you work.
( 1, 180 ) ( 2, 360 ) ( 3, 540 )
Assuming you burn 180 calories per hour.
y = 180x

Another scenario could be the amount of money spent on energy bills.
The more Lunablum uses energy the more she will pay.
y being the amount you would pay
x being the time you spent on using electronics
I don't exactly know the amount spent per hour
( 1 ,0.15 ) ( 2, 0.3 ) ( 3, 0.45 )
Assuming you pay $0.15 per hour.
y = 0.15x

In a popular online role playing game, players can create detailed designs for their character's "costumes," or appearance. Meen
antiseptic1488 [7]

The probability that the next person will purchase exactly one costume is 67%.

<h3>How to calculate the probability?</h3>

Probability is the occurence of likely events. It is the area of mathematics that deals with numerical estimates of the likelihood that an event will occur or that a statement is true. An event's probability is a number between 0 and 1.

53 visitors purchased no costume.

151 visitors purchased exactly one costume.

22 visitors purchased more than one costume.

Total visitor = 53 + 151 + 22

= 226

Probability that the next person will purchase exactly one costume will be:

= Those with one custome / Total visitors × 100

= 151 / 226 × 100

= 67%

The probability is 67%.

ANALYZE A PROBLEM Describe the x-values for which (a) f is increasing (b) f is decreasing, (c) f (x) &gt; 0 and (d) f (x) &lt; 0
Karolina [17]

The analysis of the graph, that has x-intercepts of (0, 2), and (0, 5), we get;

a. The function increases when x > 4

b. The function decreases when x < 4

c. The function is greater than zero when x < 3, and x > 5

d. The function is less than zero when 3 < x < 5

<h3>What is a point where a function is increasing?</h3>

The location of a point where a function is increasing is where the slope of the function is larger than zero.

The description of the graph of the function are as follows;

The shape of the function  = Concave upwards

The coordinates of the vertex of the function = (4, -5)

The region where the function is decreasing is from -∞ to 4

The region where the function is decreasing is therefore; x < 4

At the vertex, (4, -5), the slope of the function is zero, therefore;

Therefore, the function is increasing where x > 4

The x-intercepts are at point (0, 3) and (0, 5)

Therefore, the function is greater than zero when x < 3, and when x > 5

The function is less than zero in the range 3 < x < 5
