switched?

A different protein would be made. A cell has no way of knowing if the pair was A=T or T=A originally, so if they switch the cell will think it was that way all along. A different protein will be made (most of the time) because the mutation leaves no traces of itself for DNA repair mechanisms to detect (unlike mutations like cytosine turning into uracil or two thymines binding together, which the cell knows is an unnatural occurrence). So if the switch goes unnoticed, that gene will code for a different protein. This is because proteins are made of strings of amino acids, and the sequence determines a proteins shape and function. DNA codes for sequences of amino acids. Each amino acid is represented as three bases, so TGC will code for something different than AGC. This means that if TGC is mutated into AGC, the resulting protein will also have the wrong amino acid.

Consider the diagram that depicts the lysogenic and lytic cycles.
Kisachek [45]

The diagram is not given in the question, so the diagram is attached below: Answer:

step E

Explanation:

The viruses are assembled in Step E.

The assembly of the virus occurs in nucleus or cytoplasm of host cell. In step D, viral components of virus are synthesized and in the next step E, The viral component assembled into mature virus.

Hence, the correct option is "Step E".

Proteins on the surface of vesicles determine where the vesicles go. Which cell organelle provides the instructions for these pr
yanalaym [24]

Answer:

D. Nucleus.

Explanation:

A cell can be defined as the structural, fundamental, biological and functional unit of life. Cells are found in all living organisms because they are the basic unit of life. A unicellular organism refers to a living organism that possess a single-cell while a multicellular organism has many (multiple) cells.

Some examples of cell organelles found in all living organisms such as trees, birds, and bacteria include; nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, golgi apparatus, mitochondria, lysosomes, ribosomes, chromosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, vesicles, etc.

Proteins on the surface of vesicles determine where the vesicles go.

The nucleus is the cell organelle which provides the instructions for these proteins. It controls all the activities taking place in the cell and the synthesis of proteins.
