Either way, both of these type of artists used something as a background to enchance the quality of their works because sometimes background could mask/cover the incongruency that exist in small part of their works.

Or maybe draw it like america is the big strong parent figure and cuba is trying to hide behind them while spain (the other parent figure) is trying to punish them.
