If one leg is 8 then the other is 8 and the hypotenuse would be 8√2
because when you have a 45-45-90 triangle both legs have the same length and the hypotenuse is the same number but with a √2.

If the cosine of an angle is twice the sine of that angle what is the value of the angles tangent?
Alla [95]

let's say that sin(θ) = x, then the cos(θ) which is twice the sine has to be 2x, therefore then

\bf tan(\theta )=\cfrac{sin(\theta )}{cos(\theta )}~~ \begin{cases} sin(\theta )=x\\ cos(\theta )=2x \end{cases}\implies tan(\theta )=\cfrac{x}{2x}\implies tan(\theta )=\cfrac{1}{2}
