The easiest way to find such limits, where there is a numerator and a denominator is to apply <span><span>Hospital's Rule.
1st find the derivative of the numerator and the derivative of the denominator, if it still gives an indeterminate value, find the second derivative of N and D

3) lim sin(2x)/x when x →0
 Derivative sin2x → 2cos2x
 Derivative x→ 1
 2cos2x/1 when x→0 , 2cos2x → 2
 and lim sin(2x)/x when x →0 is 2

4) lim(sinx)/(2x²-x)

→cosx/(2x-1) when x →0 cosx/(2x-1) = -1
and lim(sinx)/(2x²-x) when x →0 is -1

and so on and so forth. Try to continue following the same principle

Explain the formation of decubitus ulcers
timurjin [86]

<u>FORMATION OF DECUBITUS ULCER:</u>

Decubitus Ulcer, also termed as Bed sores often occur when the pressure of one’s body weight cuts off the blood supply to that organ where the pressure is applied leading to death of tissues.

It is most common among the patients who are bed ridden and among the people who sits or sleeps for a majority amount of time. When an individual is seated or is sleeping for a long time, the body exerts a pressure at the point of contact that is in between the body and the firm surface, like bed or a wheelchair. This would lead to cut off of blood supply to the point where the pressure is applied which would lead to damage of skin and tissues eventually leading to the death of tissues.

A ball is thrown into the air at a velocity of 44 feet per second. Its height in feet, h after t seconds is represented by the e
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

0.447 sec

Explanation:

velocity = distance/ time

distance 'h' is a function of time 't' given by

h = 12t^{2} + 44t + 16

⇒ differentiating equation

⇒ velocity = \frac{dh}{dt} = 24t + 44

⇒ acceleration = \frac{d^{2}h }{dt^{2} } = 24 \frac{ft}{sec^{2} }

deceleration due to gravity = -9.8 m/sec^{2} =  - 9.8 x 3.281 = - 32.154 ft/ sec^{2}

Net deceleration = 24 - 32.154 = - 8.15 ft/ sec^{2}

at maximum height v = 0

v^{2} = u^{2} + 2ah

⇒  0 = 44^{2} + 2 (-8.15)h

⇒ h = 118.72 ft⇒

118.72 = 12t^{2} + 44t + 16

⇒ 12t^{2} +44t - 102.72 = 0

⇒  t = -44 ± \sqrt{44^{2} - 4(12)(102.72) }     / (2 x 12)

t = 0.447 sec
