Answer:

Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier that not only changed baseball, but changed the culture and society of America itself. Jackie Robinson was not only a great baseball player, he was a great man who had enormous amounts of courage and pride. He took verbal beatings whenever he traveled with the Dodgers.

Jackie Robinson's place in baseball and American history is being remembered this month, which is Black History Month. His memory will be celebrated throughout the 2007 baseball season too. Back in 1947, Branch Rickey, the general manager of the Dodgers, wanted an African- American player on his team.

Why do some of the Jews think the move will be an improvement?

The correct answer is, “The ghetto will be administered by a Jewish council and police”.

 • Some of the Jews think that their move will be an improvement because this guetto has its own council or Judenrat. A Judenrat was a Jewish-German-collaborative administrative agency imposed by Germans and was composed by Jewish. This was what made them think that it was an improvement, they thought they were never going to see again hostile faces, those “hate-laden stares…” Apart from this, Jewish thought this was the last place they were going to stay until the end of the war, until the arrival of the Red Army. However, in May 1944, the Judenrat said that the ghettos were going to be closed and the Jewish would have to move to and unknown destination.
