Hm, I would say your nose :P The more you "dry" it by blowing out the mucus when you cry, the more mucus is created! ORRRRR, when you dry out your face by over washing it with acne soap, your nose produces DOUBLE the amount of oil than before! xD

What specific information do you find when looking up a word in a basic dictionary?
ruslelena [56]

<span>When you look up a word in a basic dictionary, there is quite a bit of information you’ll find.  Of course, you’ll find the definition of the word.  If the word, however, has more than one meaning, all meanings will be presented in the entry.  The word will be spaced out into syllables.  You’ll see the phonetic pronunciation of the word.  For instance, if you look up the word, “happy,” you’ll see “hap-ee.”  In addition, some dictionaries will also present a word’s language origin (such as Latin or French) as well as the part of speech such as whether the word is a noun, verb, adjective, etc. </span>

The repetition of consonant sounds, especially at the end of words or syllables, without the correspondence of vowel sounds nece
uysha [10]

Answer:

Consonance.

Explanation:

<em>'Consonance' </em><em>is demonstrated as the literary device that involves a succession of similar consonant sounds usually at the end of syllables or words without resembling the vowel sounds in a single line(sentence) or phrase.</em> The chief aim of employing such a device is to create a rhythmic and melodious effect that would captivate the readers' attention and appeal to them. In 'abstruser musings', there is a quick succession of consonant sound 's' while in the phrase 'That was a stroke of luck', the use of consonant sound 'k' repetitively creates the rhyming effect. Thus, <u>'consonance'</u> is the answer.

Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

Answer:

A. They can portray imagery via the written word through vivid descriptions from colors to smells and so on they can paint a clear picture of what the author is trying to portray.

B. He uses imagery all the time and an example would be "And here the maiden, sleeping sound,  On the dank and dirty ground." He describes the ground the maid sleeps in through visual imagery.

C. An example is, "How came her eyes so bright? Not with salt tears. If so, my eyes are oftener wash'd than hers.  No, no, I am as ugly as a bear." From the last quote and this quote, both quotes emphasizes the pitiful and pathetic state of the made. The made is sleeping on the dank and dirty ground and she is as ugly as a bear. There is a reuccuring tone here and thus, the motif is that the maid is piteous.
