How is a scientific law different than a scientific theory (short answer)
Dmitry [639]
From what I understand, a law is a specific statement which is assumed by experiment to be correct, whereas a theory is an entire body of knowledge regarding a specific topic, ie the law of conservation of energy is a specific fact assumed through observation but the theory of evolution is an entire body of knowledge regarding the behavior of life.

Fill the blank
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer:

Two heterozygous parents have a 50% chance of contributing one of their alleles to each offspring.

Explanation:

Individuals who are heterozygous for a specific trait have two different alleles in the gene that determines that trait. This characteristic makes their chances of contributing each of their alleles to the offspring 50%.

The alleles of a gene are distributed in the gametes by the process of meiosis, which results in daughter cells with half the genetic charge, so each gamete can only have one copy of the allelic pair of a gene.

On the other hand, if an individual has two equal alleles for a characteristic in a gene, he has a 100% chance of passing that allele on to his descendants.

I am confused, could you please help. I’d appreciate it.
Luden [163]

Answer:

I needed to use a water plant because it is most easily seen in water plants with the production of oxygen by photosynthesis.

You need to leave the apparatus in a light place because green plants absorb light into their leaves and convert it to energy by photosynthesis.
