Yet the Lord so upheld these persons, as in this general calamity they were not at all infected either with sickness, or lameness.

They were not wanting to any that had need of them

And I doubt not but their recompense is with the Lord.

Explanation:

The passage is clearly putting up the illness as a function of the divine providence's plan for the people who kept doing their work as judicially as they could and have not been away from what the lord may have inspired them to do.

Hence whatever happens to them is it on the divine and these three lines show the lack of agency of the characters over their own lives specifically by saying that 'Lord willed' thus or it was the 'Lord' that 'upheld the persons' thus concerned.

Goshia [24]

Antony asks that they allow him to take the body to the marketplace and, further, that he be allowed to orate at the funeral.

Here are the lines Antony delivers to the Servant (who is to take the news to the conspirators):

Ant.

Post back with speed, and tell him what hath chanc'd: Here is a mourning Rome, a dangerous Rome, No Rome of safety for Octavius yet; Hie hence and tell him so. Yet, stay awhile; Thou shalt not back till I have borne this corse Into the market-place: there I shall try, In my oration, how the people take the cruel issue of these bloody men; According to the which thou shalt discourse To young Octavius of the state of things.
