A common mistake that people often make are missing key components of what was written. Things such as the main context and other pieces that defined the writing in the first place, too short of a summary can often be overlooked at as if the person who wrote the summary skimmed through the subject. I think it's important to try and include everything you can in a summary so that the person reading can validate what they read.

The author uses the phrase killing power to describe the eyes of her secret love. Explain how this phrase helps. The reader under
Greeley [361]

Answer:

it had such a great appeal that drove her crazy.

Explanation:

The author uses the phrase "killing power" to describe the eyes of her secret love because it had such a great appeal that drove her crazy. It made her feel light-headed and dizzy making her almost fall into the ground.

The author always felt that her secret lover had the most mesmerizing eyes and when he looked straight across the room and into her eyes, she became breathless.

Thus, the phrase "killing power" helps in expressing how she felt when her secret lover looked straight into her eyes.

What does say i can or i cant and your right either way mean ?
Margaret [11]
I think this is coming from the Henry Ford quote, which is "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right."

This quote basically means that what you think you can do is all in your mind and how you perceive yourself. if you think you can do something, then you'll be able to do it. If you think you can't do something, then you won't be able to, because you have already given up in your mind.

Does that make sense?
