Many Americans criticized the Spanish-American war because they thought the United States should remain neutral in world affairs.

The Spanish–American War constituted an armed conflict between Spain and the United States in 1898 which began after the explosion of USS Maine in Havana harbor in Cuba, giving way to the U.S. involvement in the Cuban War of Independence. The war resulted in the emergence of U.S. predominance in the Caribbean region, and also led to U.S. acquisition of Spain's Pacific possessions.

How and why did American Indians participate in the American Revolution?
ASHA 777 [7]

Answer:

Indians fought in the Revolution for Indian liberties and Indian homelands, not for the British empire. The majority of these tribes fought for the British but a few fought for the Americans. Many of these tribes tried to remain neutral in the early phase of the war but when some of them came under attack by American militia, they decided to join the British.

How is the loss of habitat affecting these tigers? (Site 1)
nevsk [136]
Not as many tigers can survive in small, scattered islands of habitat, this leads to a higher risk of inbreeding and makes tigers more vulnerable to poaching as they venture beyond protected areas to establish their territories.

Hope this helps a bit. :)
