Radius is the line drawn from the direct center of a circle to the outer edge

assuming the pond is a circle
area=pi times radius^2
area=11
11=pi times radius^2
aprox pi to 3.14
11=3.14 times radius^2
divide both sides by 3.14
3.503=radius^2

square root both sides
√3.5=radius which is also √5/2 or C

the answer is C

How do I find the value of sec pi/12?
scoray [572]
Sec x =  1/Cosx

Pi radians = 180 degress

Pi/12 = 180/12 = 15 degrees.

Sec15° = 1/Cos15°

Sec pi/12 = Sec 15° = 1/Cos 15°

Cos 15° = 0.9659  using a calculator.

Sec pi/12 = Sec 15° = 1/Cos 15° = 1/0.9659 = 1.0353

Sec Pi/12 = 1.0353
