To get the answer we can subsittute first equation into second.
x+6y=20
y+6+6y=20
6+7y=20        /-6
7y=14        /:2
y=2
Now we can back substitute
x=y+6
x=2+6
x=8
Finally we get
x=8
y=2

What does this expression represent five times the quotient of some number and ten
Galina-37 [17]
If we break down the problem if basically gives the answer:
five times the quotient of some number and ten
5 times (any variable) divided by 10

The answer is B. The answer isn't A because you have to go in order of what the question states. It didn't say ten first. It can't be C or D because those are not quotients.

We have a jewelry sale event where we are promoting a gold necklace at 33% off with an initial retail of $88.00. What would the
Andrej [43]
(Ignore the scatter plot thing)

Since the necklace is 33% off, you subtract 33% from 100% to get 67% (you’re only paying 67% of the initial price). You can then multiply 88*0.67 to get the sale price, which is $58.96. For the markdown dollars you can subtract 58.96 from 88 to get $29.04 (you saved $29.04 from the sale)
