Omega has created a Global Web. Companies basically open their offices in different countries where they think they can cut the costs and can take the most advantage out. So out of their many departments, they open some of them around the world, thus creating a web around the globe.

Before making this decision, companies go for the intense research of whether to open the unit in other country or not. So if they find out that opening their units in other countries are more profitable, they open their offices there. They disperse themselves all over the world. This is called the Global Web

Shelley wants to cash in her winning lottery ticket. She can either receive six, $193,000 semiannual payments starting today, or
Oxana [17]

Answer:

$1,045,517.95

Explanation:

Data provided in the question:

Semiannual payments = $193,000

Number of semiannual payments, n = 6

Annual interest rate, i = 6% = 0.06

when compounded semiannually = 6% ÷ 2 = 3% = 0.03

Now,

Single Payment = Semiannual payments × PVAF

here,

PVAF = [ 1 - (1 + i )⁻ⁿ ] ÷ i

or

PVAF = [ 1 - (1 + 0.03 )⁻⁶ ] ÷ 0.03

or

PVAF = 5.4172

Therefore,

Single Payment = $193,000 × 5.4172

= $1,045,517.95

Vika [28.1K]

Answer: $12477.27

Explanation:

The formula to find the compound amount after t years (compounded semiannually) :-

A=P(1+\dfrac{r}{2})^{2t}

Given : Principal amount : P = $ 8,000

Rate of interest : r=0.05

Time : 9 years

Now, A=8000(1+\dfrac{0.05}{2})^{2\times9}

A=8000(1+0.025)^{18}=12477.2697417\approx\$12477.27

The final amount in the account will be $12477.27

Answer:

Explanation:

There are many things in life that will seem overwhelming due to the how large and complex all of the data may be. The best way to get through these moments is to divide the task into smaller parts and sit down and dedicate time to it. For such a textbook divide the total amount of pages and read a little bit at a time, take breaks, reflect on what you have read, answer practice questions, and continue to the next group of pages. You will see after getting started that it is not as overwhelming anymore.
