What provide an opening for air to enter the nasal cavity?
pychu [463]

Nares provide an opening for air to enter the nasal cavity.

Air enters the nasal cavity from the outside through two openings: the nostrils or external nares. The openings from the nasal cavity into the pharynx are the internal nares.

The nasal cavity and mouth join at the area in the back of the throat called the oropharynx . The pharynx is part of two body systems (the respiratory system and the digestive system) because it carries both air and food.

At the bottom the pharynx is divided in to two pipes- one for air and one for food. One pipe, the larynx, is for air only. It’s also called the voice box because it contains a pair of vocal cords that vibrate to make sounds when you talk.

A small flap of tissue called the epiglottis protects the larynx. When we swallow, the epiglottis covers the larynx to prevent food and liquid from going into the lungs.

The trachea (windpipe) is the part of the airway that continues below the larynx .

The carina is at the bottom of the trachea and is the point at which the trachea divides into the left and right main bronchus leading to the lungs.

What is the name of the founder of falun gong?
irina [24]

Li Hongzhi is the name of the founder of Falun gong.

A prominent Chinese spiritual figure is Li Hongzhi. He is the creator and supreme figure of the American-based new religious movement known as Falun Gong or Falun Dafa.

On May 13, 1992, in Changchun, Li began his public teachings of Falun Gong. He then traveled throughout China giving lectures and instructing Falun Gong exercises.

Li started sharing the Falun Gong overseas in 1995 and made America his permanent home in 1998. The Chinese government crushed Li's Falun Gong movement in 1999 after it had tremendous growth in the 1990s, notably in qigong and government circles.

Today, Chinese individuals who practice Falun Gong live in constant fear of being kidnapped and tortured, according to Freedom House. The practice's founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi, is known by this moniker.

Hence, option C is correct.

Describe the means by which Spain attempted to defend and spread Catholicism at home and abroad.
Viktor [21]

Answer:

Spanish missionaries spread Catholicism through America by preaching the doctrine to the native Indians.

The Franciscan religious order was one of the first that arrived after the conquest and started their missions because the Pope had said that "Indians wer capable of learning Catholicism".

They did it by establishing priorities. Number one, establishing peace in the region which would allow the process of conversation.

The key element for the missioners to make indians accept the conversion was a smart move. They realized the reluctance of the Indians to accept Catholic principles. So what they did was to create groups of people in the religious places they had like pyramids, monuments, and sacred places, and step by step they gather the community there to establish evangelization.

That way was so much easier for them to make people accept to listen to the new doctrine.
