I have traveled all over China and to Europe to sell diff things like paper bcuz the Europeans didn't have any and were able to give us their goods. I traded silk bcuz I knew I could trade it for a high price. I've seen ppl die all around me and decided to stay away from thosewith huge blisters upon them and was able to survive.I've seen ppl die of thirst and hunger bcuz they did not have the resources they needed but I was lucky to bring a plentiful supply. Of all those years I have traded I've heard out Jesus and Christianity.I thought those ppl where crazy.

Mashutka [201]

Answer:

Food is an expression of cultural identity, cultural preservation, a symbol of cultural pride for ethnicity, and a means of coping with homesickness.

Explanation:

Food is a reflection of the unique history, lifestyle, values and beliefs of a particular culture. When a certain culture exposes other cultures to their cuisine, other cultures are motivated to duplicate, alter, and/or expand on that cuisine. For instance, Mexican food is a widely popular cuisine in the U.S. As a result, establishments in the US have sought to make Mexican food available on their menus, with some modifications to the original cultural cuisine (think Taco Bell, and chips and salsa served as an appetizer in many US restaurant chains (Chili's), quesadillas in US steakhouses (Outback, Longhorn Steakhouse).
