In my opinion, the correct answer is D. <span>If Macbeth took the crown unjustly. Banquo thinks about Macbeth's ascension to the throne and says "</span>I fear t<span>Thou played’st most foully for ’t" - which means that Macbeth probably cheated somehow. However, a</span>s much as Banquo suspects Macbeth's intentions and means, he doesn't think that Macbeth would kill him. He doesn't suspect the witches' prophecy either, as it turned out to be true. And that prophecy didn't mention his (Banquo's) getting the crown, so he doesn't mention it. In this monologue, he considers the future and thinks if the prophecy would be fulfilled for him, as it was for Macbeth.

What type of punctuation is not used internally in a sentence?
Illusion [34]
<span>The correct answer is A. The period is used only at the end of a sentence and is considered to give finality to a given sentence, providing a stopping place. The comma, apostrophe and quotation marks each provide a different functionality, and are used internally in a sentence. The comma is used to separate words. The apostrophe is used to indicate possessiveness. Quotation marks indicate a direct quote from a person.</span>

How does the author's inclusion of the "Goddess” contribute
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Answer:

The word "Goddess" refers to freedom, which is part of the main theme of this poem.

Explanation:

In this poem by Phillis Wheatley, the fight for freedom led by General Washington can be seen as the main theme.

The author of the poem uses the word Goddess to emphasize this meaning, because that is what freedom is: a great "Goddess", the one who frees us and lets us live in peace.

Let's look at the following quote from the poem:

<em>Proceed, great chief, with virtue on thy side, </em>

<em>Thy ev'ry action let the Goddess guide. </em>

<em>A crown, a mansion, and a throne that shine, </em>

<em>With gold unfading, WASHINGTON! Be thine.</em>
