⓵ Transform 6% into a number by dividing 6 by 100 :

6% = 6 ÷ 100 = 0.06

⓶ To find out how much is the tax on the elephant, you need to multiply 6% (so 0.06) by the price of the elephant, which is 34.90$ :

6% of 34.90 = 0.06 × 34.90 = 2.094

⓷
If you round up, the final answer would be that the sale taxe on the elephant is ⋍ 2.10$

I hope this helped! ☻

Radda [10]

Babies, especially those who are at least 4-6 months old, have the tendency to explore objects by touching and holding them, and putting them in their mouth. By this time, it is very important to keep small objects out of their reach so that accidents can be prevented.

Maggie's Plant Experiment In this exercise you will read the following scenario and identify the parts of the scientific method
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

Please find the identified steps of the scientific method below

Explanation:

A scientific method is a series of steps that aims at solving a problem. The steps in a scientific method include:

1. Making observation: In this experiment, Maggie observed when she read that some plants grow better if the soil is acidic. This is her observation that led to the scientific question: Do plants grow better in an acidic soil?

2. Formulating hypothesis: Hypothesis is a testable explanation to a problem. In this experiment, Maggie's hypothesis is; IF acid is added to the soil, THEN plants will grow better

3. Test hypothesis: the hypothesis is tested by conducting an experiment. In this case, Maggie places two geranium plants of the same size in two pots. Then she added a tablespoon of vinegar to one of the pots and allows the other grow normally without acid. The independent variable in this experiment is the vinegar added while the dependent variable is the height of the plants. The plant group with the vinegar is the experimental group while the plant group without vinegar is the control group. The constants of this experiment are same sunlight, same amount of water, same location etc.

4. Analyse data: The growth of the control and experimental plants were measured every week for five weeks by measuring their heights. The height (cm) of the plants with vinegar for the five weeks as as follows: 10.0, 12.4, 14.8, 18.0, 21.4 while the height in cm for the plants without vinegar for the five weeks is as follows: 10.0, 11.5, 13.0, 15.7, 17.8.

5. Conclusion: Based on the result, the plants exposed to vinegar grew better each week except week 1, which is the week they started. Hence, the hypothesis of this experiment will be ACCEPTED because the experiment proves it.
