After you have rested an injured body part, the next step should be rehabilitation exercises.

Rehabilitation exercises are an essential part of overall recovery in which an individual perform exercises to minimize pain or regain function after an injury or surgery. Rehabilitation exercises helps to recover range of motion, strength, and endurance. Under rehabilitation exercises, one of the first exercises for injuries that an individual will perform is gentle stretching to increase flexibility and simple equipment such as resistance bands may also be used during exercises.
