In my opinion, use the word and. This would mean that he knows Mark is an excellent cook because he goes there every Friday.

If you used a word like because, this shows favoritism. If you use so, for, or but, it doesn't make sense.

kakasveta [241]
“The guitar is used in a lot of contemporary music, and the instrument probably originated in Spain during the 1500s” is an example of faulty coordination.

In the example, a writer incorrectly attempts to coordinate a phrase (buying a new car), a clause (because thefts are frequent), and a word (age). To successfully coordinate items, their structures (word, phrase, or clause) must be the same. To correct faulty coordination, rewrite the structures so that they match.

The correct answer between all the choices given is the second choice or letter B. I am hoping that this answer has satisfied your query and it will be able to help you in your endeavor

The element necessary to complete the sentence above is D) independent clause.
You already have a subject (I) and a predicate (save), so these two are not needed, nor is a prepositional phrase. But you need an independent clause, because this is a dependent clause which cannot stand on its own. For example:
If I save enough money, I will buy a car.

Answer:

The sentence that best supports the inference that Madeleine's parents are supportive of her artistic interest it:

Her basement was equipped with countless expensive art supplies, including an easel, dozens of sets of various paints, and stack after stack of specialty paper.

Explanation:

According to the passage, Madeleine would spend hours as a child painting in the basement. Since she was young and had no means to make her own money, the fact that she had expensive art supplies leads us to infer that her parents were supportive of her artistic interest. We can assume they were the ones buying her the supplies. That is why the best option is:

Her basement was equipped with countless expensive art supplies, including an easel, dozens of sets of various paints, and stack after stack of specialty paper.
