The second sentence, "The letter was mailed by Sally", uses a passive tone because the subject (letter) is not doing the action, but is receiving it.

What is the most likely reason the author included this
balu736 [363]

Answer:

A- “to relate an abstract concept to something real”

Explanation:

The point of this passage is definitely not for the sake of putting in food readers may like. The point is to put in an abstract concept-love- and make a metaphor(comparing it) to real life things to help the reader visualize what the author is trying to say better.

1. Why does Vivian encourage Grant to go to church?
KengaRu [80]

Answer:

#1) She doesn’t want her children to be taken away

#2 got me thinking alot, lol.......)

I don't believe in the American Dream, because if you look outside your window, there are so many people in broken down houses, most without a house. Sleeping in cars, sleeping on a friend's couch, homeless shelters, foster care. I believe it would be possible if the rich gave more to the poor. I think those who believe in it have their heart in the right place, but to be honest, there's nothing much they can do unless they convince the government to tax the rich higher taxes, and give the extra to the poor. It is foolish to believe America will ever be what the American Dream stands for. Honestly, when somebody has money, they don't want to give it to anybody else. Keep it themselves.

Hopefully this helped, if not HMU and I will try my best to get u a better answer!
