A perpendicular line will have a negative inverse slope, if the current slope is 3 the slope of the perpendicular line will be -1/3
4=-1/3(-3)+b
4=3+b
4-3=3-3+b
1=b
Solution: y=-1/3x+1

yan [13]

Answer:

4.0 = 64. 5.0 = 80. pints to fluid ounces. 6.0 = 96. 7.0 = 112. 8.0 = 128. 9.0 = 144. 10 = 160. 1 US fluid ounce ( fl oz) = 0.0625 US pints ( pt) = 0.03125 US quarts (qt) = 0.125 US cups (c) = 6 US teaspoons = 2 US tablespoons = 29.5735296 milliliters (ml) = 0.0295735296 liters (l).

A circle has a center of (5,-5) and goes through (6,-2). What is the radius?
Fittoniya [83]
Start with the equation of a circle whose center is at (h,k) and whose radius is r:

(x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = r^2

Substituting the given coordinates of the center:

(x-5)^2 + (y-[-5])^2 = r^2, or (x-5)^2 + (y+5)^2 = r^2

Substituding the given coordinates of a point (6,-2) on the circle:

(6-5)^2 + (-2+5)^2 = r^2

Simplifying:

1^2 + 3^2 = r^2, or 1 + 9 = r^2, or 10= r^2.  Then r = sqrt(10).
