Sculptors too, played this role. Another example includes ancient China, during the Dynasty eras. Terracotta warriors were manufactured to symbolise nobility, loyalty and power, therefore making those who painted and sculpted a vital aspect in the making of visual literature. In essence, artists and sculptors rose to popularity in Ancient times as it was a new form of discovery, learning and interpretation of meaning.
