This is 7th Grade Language arts and I had to do this last year.

Marley means that all he ever did was business. If there was something to do with business he accomplished it. He is also trying to teach Scrooge a lesson to not be stingy and be nice and not be greedy. Marley had to always to business and he was greedy and stingy just like scrooge and he doesn't want scrooge to be like that or he will end up being a ghost on chains.

Vikki [24]

Answer:

The correct answer is A. Outward appearances can be deceiving.

Explanation:

In the quote, we can see that Frankenstein's monster (if we should call him that) tells us how he is harmless and can even be beneficial (meaning, helpful, useful), but all people choose to see is his appearance rather than what's inside.

Namely, Doctor Frankenstein brought a corpse back to life and thus created his monster. Obviously, a reanimated corpse looks scary and people often cannot see beyond the physical, which is something the monster is lamenting in the quote above. He says that even though he may look like a monster, his characteristics are not monstrous, and that people shouldn't read the book by its cover (in other words, outward appearances can be deceiving).

Why is it important to read in a question and answer format?<br> please help valid answers only
Illusion [34]

Answer:

For in-depth understanding

Explanation:

When reading a text, we tend to just "read" it as it is and overlook important contextual information. When we question why the text is organized the way it is or why the author uses certain words, can add to the understanding of why is the text is structured the way it is. By adding our opinions to the questions, we are engaging with the text therefore reaching an in-depth understanding of the whole purpose of the text.
