White settlers possessed superior weapons which became an added advantage for then. settlers brought with them weapons and horses. This paved way for hunting the buffaloes that lived on the plains.

Explorers and gold seekers forced the native tribes ton vacate and there arose the conflict of land and survival for native Americans. Native american' culture was considered to be inferior by white settlers and they were also known to be less intelligent when compared to the European settlers.
