They are traditional because in most cultures they pass down stories to everyone so they can be proud of their culture and where they came from as well, they are passed on to generation because it can be a family thing or it can be for everyone but they choose to pass it down to family cause they are related to the story or it applies to them, myths are usually passed on through family and also tribes as well so everyone can here.
