What are the good and bad things about learning other languges

Learning languages will help you in life. A bad thing about it is that if you don't speak them you forget them I forgot how to speak my original language(turkish) because I went to english schools my entire life.

GOOD:
1. learning a language can help you multitask.
2. if you learn a language and go to a place were people speak that language you could be able to communicate with them to get places you need to be.
BAD:
1.People who are fluent in that language and have been through out their life would think you are rude if you pronounce something wrong.
2. it can take more than a year to learn certain languages.
