Well first you have to keep,change,flip idk if you heard of it but thats an easier way so.. Keep means you keep the forst fraction change means you change the sign to its opposite sign in this case its multiplication then the flip part is when you flip the other fractiom which will be 7 8/3
When you do that you multiply it and you get your answer but if you need to reduce then reduce

Integer that describes debit of $40
Sladkaya [172]
Alright - we want to start off by seeing if this number would be positive or negative. Debit means that you owe something, or that you have to pay that amount of money. If you had money to buy things with, that would be positive, but since debit means you haven’t paid something off yet, that is negative. Next, since you have 40 dollars in debt, you have -40 dollars.

deff fn [24]

12 girls out of 30 were selected, so the ratio "selected:tried" if 12/30. This fraction can be simplified into

\dfrac{12}{30} = \dfrac{2}{5}

Similarly, 16 boys out of 40 were selected, so the ratio "selected:tried" if 16/40. This fraction can be simplified into

\dfrac{16}{40} = \dfrac{2}{5}

So yes, the ratio of the number of students on the team to the number of students trying out the same for both boys and girls
