What was a difficulty of building the Great Wall of China?

One of the difficulties was getting the supplies to the workers.

Explanation:

They had to work through slopes and steep mountains. Many people died during the construction. There wasn’t much machine back so the labor was even harder. The workers did not have much breaks. Since it the Great Wall is so long, getting supplies to them was very difficult.
